gorillas

topshop launched their new christopher kane collaboration online today. the theme? eyelets, rivets, and other embellishments. of course there also has to be a large graphic animal print dress and t-shirt. i mean-- it is christopher kane, after all. he has traded in the gorilla for a crocodile this time. i'm still partial to the gorilla, but the new one is pretty good too.

i'm interested to see how it does-- topshop was keeping the designs under lock and key for the most part having blogs take down images after a few leaked. the collection went online earlier today and several pieces are already sold out. The simpler and more feminine items seem to be what is selling the fastest with the cobalt blue colored pieces basically all gone. i'm sad about the one shoulder lace dress and the blue gem babydoll dress being sold out-- those are my favorites. oh well, it's not like i can buy them anyways. fantasy shopping...
