frozen

it is not supposed to be this cold in october. nature and i are currently having some major disagreements about that. because i was blessed with a condition called cold urticaria i am actually, medically, allergic to cold. basically i fear the winter, and apparently fall. but maybe not so much with this sweet hood from urban outfitters. my face is the hardest thing to keep warm and this looks like something that could actually keep me pretty cozy.

at least i hope it does. it also looks like it could possibly make me look like a small furry animal, and basically i'm all for anything that does that. also-- i'm running out of options and might have to resort to this soon:

john

it's always exciting when some new trend comes in for men. this especially stands for me, since i tend to find things from the men's department when i'm shopping (much to my friend dan's dismay). jeans and slacks-- that can get boring i'm sure. thankfully new silhouettes are working their way into the mainstream this season to change things up a bit. drop crotch, cropped, long johns... they might be hard to pull off for most people, but when they're done right it's pretty much amazing.

long oversized blazers aren't only working for women's fashion right now. without the jacket the outfit would fall apart-- actually, every element wouldn't work without the other. well done, sir. well done indeed.

(thanks, dan, for the photo. i won't steal those commes des garcons long johns from you. mostly only because they would be too big for me)

wild

where the wild things are max suit from opening ceremony.

i'm sure it's really excellent and soft and cozy, but how on earth could you justify spending $610 on that?

shiny
